History of the club
The club has chosen to use Facebook as its primary source of communication which can be found by searching for our generic Forrestfield Flyers page.
Once signed up members can request access to the members page for Forrestfield Flyers to access detailed information about the events and games happening within the club.

The club is structured into 4 main focus areas, with the intent to give everyone the opportunity to get involved in a a fair and even manner;
1. Subbies Program – Offering children aged between 4-6 to come down and get int he routine of playing sport in a team environment. To help in this transition we ask that parent become involved as well, with the program centred parents teaching their children based on the instructions of the coach. A great way to interact and get involved in your childs activities and the club.
2. Juniors – Boys and Girls who will have turned 6yrs and have not yet turned 10 years by the 30 June. This group is focused on introducing to team sports with a social atmosphere. Focusing on active, fair participation for everyone no matter their skill level.
Team s are selected based on the school they go to, so friends can play with friends. However, requests will be considered if players dont want to on a different team. The committee do reserve the right to change the teams based on talent and fairplay.
3. Seniors – Boys and Girls who will have turned 10yrs and have not yet turned 13 years by the 30 June. Similar to the junior group, it is focused on introducing to team sports with a social atmosphere. Focusing on active, fair participation for everyone no matter their skill level. A higher degree of understanding is develop in game play, sportsmanship and team involvement.
4. State Level – This is for all age groups and is available for anyone who wants to get involved in a competitive atmosphere that is focussed on fair play, active involvement and developing the right attitude. This group requires a level of commitment and skill in which teams are selected from tryouts. Once selected coaches quickly enhance players skill level and understanding of the game ready for the March long weekend competitions held by TBAWA.
All games are played on Saturday morning.
Subbies and Juniors: we aim to play at the Club home ground at 62 Hartfield Road, Forrestfield. Game times are between 9am and 10.30.
Seniors, to encourage diversity in games and a little more excitement the club runs a home and away season with other clubs. Fixtures will be provided when teams are confirmed.
Training will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoon at the club rooms for approximately one hour. Days are dependant on the Coaches availability.
Subbies will train on Saturday morning and play a short game after.
On full payment of fees, NEW members (registering with Flyers for the first time) will receive a Club Polo Shirt – this is yours to keep and wear before and after your game. A team shirt and legionnaires cap will be provided by the club for game days (these have been kindly sponsored). The team shirt and cap belongs to the club, is to be worn for the game only. Players will be required to purchase their own teeball pants (blue or white) and long red socks.
Appropriate footwear such as joggers or football boots (no spikes) must be worn at both training and games.
New players will also receive a “new player pack” once full fees have been paid. The pack contains a teeball glove, ball and voucher for your child – all thanks to Fielder’s Choice and TBAWA!
You will need to have your own teeball glove and water bottle, Flyers will provide the rest. You are welcome to use your own teeball bat and helmet if you wish.

A full canteen service will be available Saturday morning. We will be doing a roster for parents to help in the canteen, unaccompanied children under 15 will not be allowed in the canteen. Our canteen is a good fundraiser, please support it.
Flyers endeavour to keep fees to a minimum making it affordable for as many families as possible to participate. We appreciate fees being paid up front with registration. However, all players must be financial prior to the fourth playing date.
Played for another club? Yes, we do transfer game counts from other clubs. Please contact our registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can follow this up on your behalf.
Code of Conduct
For the safety, fairness and enjoyment of all associated with Flyers Teeball Club we adhere to a Club Code of Conduct. This is to be signed by both the players and team members at the time of registration.
We are a family orientated club and encourage our parents to be involved. Parents, coaches and committee working together contributes to the successful running of the club. We ask parents to assist with coaching, umpiring, scoring, base coaching and canteen. You do not require qualifications for any of these positions however the club will provide support in teaching you. As with any junior sport, children get a buzz when Dad or Mum help out.
Water Bottle and Sunscreen – make sure you have both!
SMOKING is NOT permitted on the oval at all. Smoking is only allowed outside of the oval’s boundary fence. This however, does exclude the clubrooms, change rooms, toilets and the veranda area surrounding the clubrooms. These smoking restrictions MUST be respected as Forrestfield Flyers Teeball Club is a Healthways approved club.
